To confirm, though, could you open Edge without the extension installed and attempt to visit a few sites and see if this triggers the crash? From what I've read, I would expect Edge to still crash after a fairly short time, even without the 1Password extension. It may be that the extension is expediting this crash by triggering the event that leads to it earlier than would be the case without the extension installed, but I still suspect the underlying issue is with Edge itself. It might be unrelated, but I am wondering why I am getting the same error on I did some research on your particular error, and I'm seeing quite a few folks experiencing this with the latest Windows update without the 1Password extension.

I guess that could prove a loop would not involve Network.I am getting the Edge error on both my laptop and my main computer:įaulting Application Path: C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe A bit of a surprise was that the Network bookmark appeared first. I indicated they weren't the ones that you showed us. In fact, Registry events were last but as Started with only Process and Thread events, bookmarked the last of those, added Network events, bookmarked the last of those, added File events, bookmarked the last of those and finally added Registry events. Then I filtered for both Edge and its tab task and If anything I would say I had more overhead getting Task Manager going (with Ctrl+Shift+Esc). All I tried to capture was what you described: typing a single letter into the Searchīox, waiting for nothing but ProcMon to be showing using CPU and then stopping the trace.

What about the normal case for comparison? FWIW I did not see the registry queries that you captured, so I guess they may only happen when Edge is starting. Looks like it's doing a lot of registry operations a couple of minutes, then about nothing is logged from that process.
